As I sit here writing this post, I am experiencing the post Yoga bliss that comes after a challenging, but soothing practice. It has been way too long. I have had a consistent Yoga & Pilates practice for over 13 years, but life just got in the way these past few months. When I found Yoga on our honeymoon in Bali, I never would have guessed that it would become a part of me, forever.
I never really liked working out. Aerobics does nothing for me. I don’t do Cardio. I hate to run, but there is something about the natural high you get from Yoga. I originally took to it for the mental escape and then I realized the profound physical benefits. It just became part of my daily routine. For whatever reasons, I fell off the wagon in August & September. Between vacation, back to school schedules and my freelance work, I haven’t taken a class in over 60 days. Shame on me!
Well, today is the beginning of a new chapter. I found an amazing, new studio, YogaBliss, right in my neighborhood. The space is organic and inviting, but colorful and uplifting at the same time. The perfect balance. Kristen, the teacher & owner, is passionate, gracious and she pushed me to my edge. I am riding on this euphoria and can’t wait to go back tomorrow.
