A “Chique” Sunday
Since it is my birthday “month” we decided to treat ourselves a bit this weekend. First, we saw a play performed by the Lookingglass Theater Young Ensemble called Warmth in the Windows. In fact, this is our third time seeing a production from this group as my girlfriend’s son is one of the brilliant young actors. They always do a spectacular job and the performances are always intriguing for both adults and kids. Warmth in the Windows is a must see, but book your tickets now as there are only a few more shows left.
Then, the boys headed out for their own fun. A group of Dads from school organized a trip to see a Chicago Rush game, so I was solo. What better way to spend a rainy afternoon than with two good friends, a bottle of champagne and box of delicious desserts? I can’t remember the last time I indulged in deep uninterrupted adult conversation, fabulous music and a glass of bubbly sans the boys, both big and small!
Cheers to a very “Chique” Sunday. I am loving this month long celebration. What is in store for me this week? Visit again to find out!
