A “Chique” Thrift
Who doesn’t love a cheap thrill or in my case a “Chique” thrift? Sometimes I don’t know which I like better the seeking or the finding. Maybe both equally the same? But, there is something so satisfying when you discover a little gem amongst the junk!
As you may know from my post here, I am a big fan of kimonos. Like a robe, but for daytime. Easy, breezy and oh so comfy. Now I just needed one to transition into the Fall.
Well, on my latest treasure hunt I found the perfect seasonal version. An amazing full length authentic cotton kimono with a cool geometric print. All that for only $2 at my favorite thrift shop. Now that is a “Chique” thrift!
Here is how I wore it. How would you style it? Would love to hear.
One more “Chique” style tip. When pairing a very ethnic piece with other items be sure to juxtapose the look to create a boho “Chique” ensemble. Never try to reinvent the Geisha girl look while wearing a kimono or you will look like you are in a costume. Save that for Halloween. Happy October, my friends.
P.S. Looking at these pics makes me so grateful for my new pixie haircut. Can we say wind blown!?
