Cheers to a “Chique” New Year

As some of you may know,  I am not a big believer in New Year’s resolutions.  I think most people only set themselves up for failure and disappointment. I am, on the other hand, a proponent of realistic, motivational goals.  For me it is about a lifestyle not a resolution.  I have never dieted and I don’t plan to start now. I work out to relieve stress, but love the physical benefits. I take each day as it comes and am lucky enough to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Walk into the sunset

So, as we reflect on 2012 and welcome in 2013 I am sharing some of my own objectives. Hoping to make this year even better than the last.  Again, nothing unattainable and outrageous, just simple, positive & inspirational ideas to help kick off this “Chique” new year.

Pray for Peace

Some of them may sound familiar, as they are the rules I try to live by each day! Not in any particular order, but nonetheless my 13 mantra’s of sort!

1. Friends & family first

2. Eat well, feel better

3. Live in moderation

4. Capture the moment

5. Work smarter, not harder

6. Practice what you preach

7. Keep the faith

8. Laugh more, stress less

9. Read more, learn more

10. Take creative risks

11. Listen more, talk less

12. Live strong, take a stance

13. Be a mother and a lover

And, of course, always stay “Chique“!

Wow, putting these all down in writing is a bit overwhelming and intimidating. Whose idea was this anyway? I would love to hear your goals for 2013?  Please feel free to share!
