“Chique” Tip: Stay Present

Boys and I had a blast today@ the MCA’s Family Day.  As usual we explored their entire collection as part of the scavenger hunt.  One of our favorites was “Television Works” by Iain Baxter& .  He painted images with acrylic paint on vintage reclaimed tv’s.  They were plugged in so the static behind the art created an amazing sensation of water moving or snow falling. We did take some time to create our own masterpieces as we built sculptures with geometric shapes and sticks. We took away a poignant message which was always to  ‘stay present’.  My photo in front of the “Being There” piece served as the perfect memento for today’s lesson!
