“Chique” Tip: White Out
As summer rolls around I am always anxious to wear white, lots of it. But, let’s be honest, keeping white garments looking fresh, crisp and clean can be a challenge. There is nothing worse than whites that have turned yellow. For years, I have been trying all kinds of tricks and tips, from baking soda to laundry boosters to stain removers, but nothing ever worked.
Well, I think I have finally nailed it. Here is my latest “Chique” tip on sprucing up your dingy looking white denim, blouses, t-shirts and such.
Simply soak them in a tub of hot water with a splash of bleach and a drizzle of Dawn dish washing liquid for a few hours. Then launder on the gentle cycle. I usually put my delicate whites in the dryer for a few minutes to get out the wrinkles and then air dry.
Works every time! I was ready to give up on this blouse that seemed to turn grey, but thankfully I revived it with this “Chique” tip. Cheers to a bright summer and wearing tons of white.
